Culture of Central Java

The images is an the original cultural dances.
Location of the image was taken within a small village about 3km from the Borobudur Temple.
Usually the locals people celebrated on certain days, the birthday of the village (Dusun Merti).
They gathered together to pray, so that their small village to avoid all dangers and disasters,
pray to the ancestors, for the salvation and blessings for the people who live in this small village.

Dances are accompanied by gamelan music in the style of Java (the pentatonic), make the locals people come to watch.
Most interestingly, there are foreign tourists to come and go dancing. 

That was one year ago, now the foreign tourists, it becomes part of the population of this small village. And together with me, to give a touch of art on the Menoreh hills. (just above the small village).
